Welcome to FAN OF THE MONTH!

We don’t think that these ladies need any sort of lengthy introduction – just go ahead  and have a look at their page! ;) Congratulations to our 2 Fans of the Month : KweenNikki and Britt!

Screen Name?
KweenNikki: KweenNikki

Britt: Britt

And what is your real name?
KweenNikki:  Nikki :P

Britt: Brittany

Where are you from?
KweenNikki: Bristol, CT

Britt: I live in a suburb of New Orleans.

Please tell us a little more about yourself (Job, hobbies, etc.):
KweenNikki: I am a Life Engagement Coordinator - which is just a fancy name for Activity Director. ;) I work in an assisted living facility… I adore old people! My ultimate goal is to work with the Alzheimer’s Association of America. When I’m  not working (lol) I can be found at hockey games or L.A. Guns shows; and when it’s hockey season, I tend to schedule my life around when the Pittsburgh Penguins are on  tv. :D

Britt: I love traveling, shopping, going to concerts, and kitties.  I try to visit the east coast whenever the boys are there, and to visit my friends at the same time.  I also visit Europe every few years with my family.

How/when and why did you get into L.A. Guns?
KweenNikki: I was like 12 or 13... I remember my cousin Sarah (a few of you  know  her) and I were sleeping over our friend Tonya’s house we saw the video for Electric Gypsy… it was all over for us. We were hooked!

Britt: I had heard Ballad of Jayne back in the day, but that's it.  I bought Metal Edge magazines, and thought they looked cool and were cute. LOL  A few years later, I got the video collection, bought the first 3 albums, and have been a fan ever since.

What is your favourite song/album?
KweenNikki: That’s tough! I have to say my favorite album is Hollywood Vampires. I remember buying the tape - It came with little 3-D glasses.  lol  I thought that was sooo rad! As for my fav song? I totally can’t narrow it down to just one. It’s a tie between One More Reason, My Koo Ka Choo and  Magdalaine. Oh and I LOVE Killing Machine too. And then there’s Hollywood’s Burning because Phil sings “MAU, MAU, MAU” in it… he doesn’t? oh, wait.. hahahah

Britt: This is always a tough question to answer for any of my favorite bands.  It's nearly impossible to pick just ONE song.  Over The Edge, Long Time Dead, Wheels of Fire, Gypsy Soul, and Rip & Tear are definitely high on my list, and are all amazing live.  If I had to choose one album, I guess it would be Cocked & Loaded.  It's a classic.

What is your favourite art work/cover out of  the entire L.A. Guns catalogue?
KweenNikki: To be honest, I don’t really pay attention to cover art that much - unless it’s really horrid looking. I mean, you can  have an amazing looking cover and  have shitty music on the CD. Soo, I’m gonna go with the S/T album cuz you can’t go wrong with the shield, it’s  rad looking.

Britt: Hollywood Vampires has always been my favorite.  They all do look like vampires with the glowing white skin.

Now share your favourite L.A. Guns story/memory, please:
KweenNikki: I could never narrow it down to just one. I have made the most amazing friends because of this band. You guys know who you are and I <3 you! There have been way too many FAR too drunken nights and memories to sum up in only one paragraph! LOL It is ALWAYS a pleasure seeing the band and getting the opportunity to say hey afterwards. If I had to pinpoint something I guess it’s pinky-swearing with Stacey because he thought I was being mean to him. I love this band with all of my heart... but I will never drive to PA for them again. ;) lol

Britt: Oh wow... since 2001, I have been fortunate enough to see them 19 times.  So many good memories from all of those shows.  Besides them putting on a great show every time, meeting them afterwards is always the highlight.  They are all so grateful and take the time to talk to everyone.  Hanging out with Keri was great, he is such a sweet guy.  Getting hugs and kisses from Scott after every show.  Taking bookend pictures with Nikki, my favorite being the one of all of us and the Mini's. ;) And of course, meeting some people from the board.  It's amazing how a band can do that, I've met some of my best friends through them.  I don't know what I would do without you guys!

What other bands do you like?
KweenNikki: I like that John Corabi guy a little bit. ;) :inlove:

Britt: The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, ZO2, Pink Floyd, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, The Doors, Aerosmith, Bryan Adams, Fleetwood Mac, The Black Crowes, Queen, The Police, Cheap Trick, Guns N' Roses, etc.  Mostly 80's and classic rock.

Have you ever met any "celebrities"?
KweenNikki: Aside from various musicians, I’ve  met a number of NHL players … Recently I’ve met Jason Mewes & Sid Haig (Capt. Spaulding). I met John Stamos when I was like 10. :whatever: My favorite, though, was meeting Kat Von D two years ago. She was fantastic! <3

Britt: Rich Robinson and Eddie Harsch (The Black Crowes), Phil Lewis, Steve Riley, Muddy, Tracii Guns, Adam Hamilton, Keri Kelli, Stacey Blades, Scott Griffin, Jaime St. James, David Z, Paulie Z, Joey Cassata, Gilby Clarke, Stefan Adika, Dizzy Reed, Jizzy Pearl, Matt Starr, Alex Grossi, Anthony Focx, Troy Patrick Farrell, Kenny Kweens, Paul Black, Chad Stewart, Steve Summers, Lesli Sanders, and Kat Von D.  I think that's everyone, hope I'm  not leaving anyone out.

What is /are your favourite book(s)?
KweenNikki:  I’m currently reading the Sookie Stackhouse series, pretty good but the tv show is way better! I don’t think I have any “favorite” books. I don’t  have  patience for reading. I’m a magazine kind of girl :P

Britt: L.A. Confidential, Dead Until Dark (haven't read the rest of the Sookie Stackhouse series yet), The Giver, The Green Mile, Interview With The Vampire, I'm With The Band.

And which is/are your favourite movie(s)?
KweenNikki: The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Goodfellas, American Psycho, Wedding Crashers, Pineapple Express, All of the Saw movies, Zoolander, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Anchorman, Identity, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Sleepers & Girl, Interrupted.

Britt: L.A. Confidential, Clay Pigeons, American Beauty, The Usual Suspects, Almost Famous, Wayne's World, Back To The Future trilogy, Desperado, Across The Universe, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Little Shop of Horrors, Robin Hood: Men In Tights, Pineapple Express, Eddie & The Cruisers, This Is Spinal Tap, Dogma, Mallrats, Anchorman, Help!, Interview With The Vampire, Zoolander.

Any famous last words?
KweenNikki: Dude. This was a lot harder to fill out than I thought it would be. :bonk:

Britt: Just wanna say again how thankful I am for both the band and the people I've met through them.  I know I've made some lifelong friends. :)

And now on to the board members’ questions:
Freerk: You both have done your part here of drooling on this or that rockstar. Leads me to this question: What qualities should a man have AT LEAST, before you would agree to live with him? I mean: all dreaming aside.

KweenNikki: Besides having a sense of humor and other quality traits? Personal  hygiene. Clean up after yourself because I’m  not a maid. Don’t be a douche. That’s pretty much  it. I’m not that hard to get along with.

Britt: Wellll... after recently having broken up with a boyfriend that I was THISCLOSE to moving in with, I'd say the chances of that ever happening, at least any time soon, are very slim.  I've become even more cynical when it comes to relationships.  All dreaming aside, they must have a great personality, a good heart, a sense of humor, and it'd be nice if we had a lot of the same interests in common.  If I ever do end up dating a guy I really like, I wouldn't plan on moving in unless I know for sure he's right for me... and until we've dated for a few years at least

The same for: what are the absolute deal-breakers?

KweenNikki: Dirty slobs.

Britt: As for the other question... there's so many things that could qualify as deal-breakers.  It all depends on the guy.  I do not, however, tolerate liars or cheaters.

Hazygirl: How far have  you  traveled  to see LAG??

KweenNikki: I think it was that show in Factoryville, Pennsylvania. It took like 4 1/2 hours to get there. In an ice storm half the way. I hated it the whole way there and the whole way back. I don’t remember being so aggravated  in my whole life! The only time I was happy was AT the show. LOL

Britt: I've been traveling pretty far the past 3 years now. LOL :P  I've seen them in the following states: NY, CT, NJ, PA, MA, & LA.  I guess the furthest would be NY.

How often do you text/talk to each other in real life?

KweenNikki: Just about every day!

Britt: Pretty much everyday.  We text, IM, Facebook, and Twitter each other all the time.

Have you ever thought of  becoming  roommates and making the apartment into a man-trap???

KweenNikki: LOL, Yea we have but neither of us would leave where we live, so we settle for hanging out whenever we can a few times a year!

Britt: We have thought about becoming roommates.  After our trip to Los Angeles, we wanted to move there so bad, but looking at prices of apartments changed our minds. LOL  And I think about moving there sometimes, since the rock scene is dead here, and I have a bunch of friends there.  But I love New Orleans, and I have my family here, so I'm torn.  Never know what will happen in the future though!

What's your dream LAG setlist?

KweenNikki: I’m just picking my personal favorites because I’m kind of lazy. ;)

Shame
One More Reason
My Koo Ka Choo
Face Down
Long Time Dead
Killing Machine
Electric Gypsy
Magdalaine
Nothing Better To Do
Don’t Look At Me That Way
Psychopathic Eyes
I Found You
Sex Action
Hollywood’s Burning
It Don’t Mean Nothing
Gypsy Soul
Over The Edge
Wheels of Fire
I Wanna Be Your Man
Rip & Tear

There we go… so they’re playing for a really long time :P

Britt: I'm happy with anything really.  The setlists the last few years have been awesome!  Only I'd add Malaria... I wanna hear that one day!

What's your all  time favorite non-LAG song in the whole world?

KweenNikki: Oh man, I totally can’t pick just one. But I’ll narrow it down to 5 - and even that will be hard!

* Thank You For The Venom ~ My Chemical Romance
* No Speak, No Slave ~ The Black Crowes
* Let It Flow ~ Union
* Mr. Rainmaker ~ Warrant
* Meet My Maker ~ Good Charlotte

Britt: You honestly can't expect me to choose one song in the whole world.  How about a top 5?  Though this is pretty hard too.

Def Leppard - Bringin' On The Heartbreak
The Beatles - Things We Said Today
Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love
Whitesnake - Still of the Night
Don Henley - Boys of Summer

What's your all time favorite LAG song in the whole world?

KweenNikki: One More Reason

Britt: Over The Edge

What's your favorite venue for an LAG show?

KweenNikki: I LOVE Dingbatz! That place holds SO many memories for me. I always look forward to seeing the guys there.

Britt: My favorite so far was House of Blues in New Orleans.  I just love that place, has such a great atmosphere.  On the east coast, I'd have to say Northern Lights.  Seen them there the most, so it's become a second home for LAG shows pretty much. ;)

Stephanie: How is Mini Blades? Does he still have all arms and  legs and all?  I assume he's as good as retired now, we haven't heard from him in a while...mind you, he's been through a lot for a cardboard figure so it's little wonder! Does he regret he's never made it to Europe?

KweenNikki: LOL, he’s good! His arms and legs are intact - he’s laminated now. He’s actually something of a bookmark...well he’s in a book I’ve currently given up reading but the book keeps him nice and flat and out of harms way LOL  MB retired in West Virginia a couple years ago while visiting Theresa & CJ. :P I think it would be rad if he made it all the way to the UK. But you  never know. He may come out of hiding in the future. ;)

Britt: Nikki has Mini Blades, so I'm not really sure how he's doing currently.  But last year, we laminated him and Mini Griffin, which saved Mini Blades from being decapitated.  He never really had legs to begin with. ;) LOL  And I'm sure Nikki could possibly send him to Europe one day.

nikkicole:What's the square root of 952?

KweenNikki: I have no fucking idea. I’m not that smart, but I’m a lot of fun :P - Wait can we swear in this thing?

Britt: 30.8544972.  Google does wonders. ;)

Elmo: So, How long have you secretly longed for Cletus Guns?

KweenNikki: Shamefully, I don’t even remember who cletus guns is? LOL

Britt: Never?

Would you ever be on cops braless in a tanktop?

KweenNikki: ONLY if my baby daddy was being arrested for beating me, and being shoved in the back of a cop car. ;)

Britt: LOL no.

doll_serenade: why don't you guys live together already?! You're electronically joined at the hip, why not in real life too?

KweenNikki: Scroll up! :P

Britt: LOL That seems to be a popular question.  As I've said above to Jo-Ann's question, we have talked about it.  I'd hate to leave New Orleans... as much as I bitch about the weather and lack of concerts, I just love that place.  But who knows?

crystalgypsy25: What has been your favorite East Coast show thus far? Was it one that I was at?

KweenNikki: One of my all time favs was theresa’s shower at Northern Lights. I think we all had way too much fun that night :D

Britt: That's hard to say... pretty much every show I've seen is simply amazing.  My favorite was definitely when they had the 4 shows with ZO2 as the opening act.  Not only did it introduce me to them, but the boys were awesome as well.  The shows in Trailside Inn (minus the drive there, we got SO lost, it wasn't funny!) and Crazy Donkey were the best.

Which is cooler: Pirates or Ninjas?

KweenNikki: PIRATES!

Britt: Pirates I guess.  Especially if they look like Johnny Depp or Orlando Bloom. :P

nikole: What is the best show  you've seen; one with and one without each other?

KweenNikki: With: February 2008 at the crazy donkey in LI. We both drank too much and were out of control that night (thank God for Mark, our babysitter LOL) but the stories from that night we still laugh about! ;)   Without: My all time favorite show ever was The Black Crowes 10/31/96 @ the Beacon Theatre in NYC. I’ve seen the Crowes over 30 times, but this show will always be my absolute favorite ever.

Britt: Together: One of the shows I mentioned above.  Without: Hmmm... I'll always hold a special place in my heart from when I saw Def Leppard in 2005.  I was on the floor, second row.  Now, their tickets are way too expensive to get floor, so I'm always too far away.
