Welcome to FAN OF THE MONTH!

Being an L.A. Guns fan for almost 20 years definitely merits entering the FOTM "hall of fame". Coincidentally, September is also her month of birth. So congrats and Happy Birthday to Glamgoddess/Kristin.

Screen Name?
Glamgoddess

And what is your real name?
Kristin

Where are you from?
Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA

Please tell us a little about yourself (Job, hobbies, etc.):
I am 32 this month.  Being nominated as FOTM for September was totally cool 'cuz my birthday is in September! YAY!  So, the coincidence was fantastic!  Let's see...I work for a public library doing mostly data entry (cataloging books and entering them into our computer system as they come in).  I also do interlibrary loans as my other main job.  And when needed, I answer phones, check out books to the patrons, check in returns, answer reference questions, order supplies.  I also have just recently started going to college again, after leaving 10 years ago.  This time, I am going to finish!  I plan on getting my Bachelors degree in liberal arts then moving on to a Masters in library science.  So, I am quite busy lately LOL.  But, I always still find time to see concerts, hang with friends, go to parties, and travel (ocassionally LOL).

How/when and why did you get into L.A. Guns?
I remember when I was 13 in 1988, my friend, Michele, and I were watching Headbanger's Ball on MTV.   "Electric Gypsy" came on and we were hooked right then and there!  We just loved the look, the sound, the men ;).  So, ever since then, I have loved L.A. Guns...the rest is history!

What is your favourite song/album?
I think I have to go with the self titled album and Tales from the strip as my favorite albums.  As for songs...hmmm....hard choice, but I am going to have to go with "Sex action", "Bitch is back, "Rip n tear", "Magdalaine" and "Show no mercy".

Now share your favourite L.A. Guns story/memory, please:
Wow, there's been so many.  I've seen LAG play so many times, with all of the different singers and line ups.  But, I think I have to go with 2 memories ; they are board member memories rather than band memories, but if it was wasn't for the band, I would have never met these people.  The band is always memorable!

The one memory is when my boyfriend, Rick, and I were out in Los Angeles on vacation back in 2003.  At the same time, Tina (calcologal), Alan (sexaction), Dianne (hollywoodteez) and her husband, Jason were all going to be in L.A. at the same time too.  So, we all decided to get together for a "west coast party" at the Rainbow Bar N' Grill.  We had such a good time hanging out, eating and drinking.  It was awesome being able to meet up with them and hang out in the city that is famous for our music!

My other favorite memory is from 2006 at Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ.  That was another night of a major board meet and greet.  Some of us have met before at previous shows but some came from far and wide!  I got to hang with Theresa (gwensmom), Becca, Kayla, Elmo, Trina, Nikki, Amanda, Britt, Sandy, Ravyn, Hazy, Nikkicole, CJ, Dianne, Jason, Jeffers, Joy, Hutch...hope I'm not forgetting anyone, if I am, please forgive me!  But, that night, was unforgettable!  So many great people seeing such an awesome band!

From the moment I registered with this board, it really has changed my life.  I have met sooooo many wonderful people and made some terrific friends....and all because of LAG.  Sorry for the sap but it is true.  And I hope to meet more of you!  I just wanted everyone to know that :).  Ok, back to the program...

.

Mostly 80 glam rock...Faster Pussycat, Poison, Motley Crue, Guns N' Roses, Pretty Boy Floyd, Ratt, Britny Fox, Cinderella, White Lion, Dangerous Toys, Great White, Love/Hate, Enuff Z'Nuff, Skid Row, Warrant...you get the idea :).  I do also like some classic rock music like the doors, the Monkees, and Janis Joplin.

What is/are your favourite books?
