Welcome to FAN OF THE MONTH!

November's FAN OF THE MONTH goes to TINA!!!!!!!! Congrats Tina... Always cheery.. always posting... true fan.

NAME: Tina (calcologal)

WHERE ARE YOU FROM: I’m originally from Colorado, living mainly in Colorado Springs for 25 years, but am now based in Anaheim, California, which is in Orange County, just south of L.A.

ABOUT YOU: I’m 39 (will be turning The Big 4-0 in November) and have worked for an insurance company for the last 19 years in various capacities, with my current duties being a Text Processing Operator in a commercial liability claims office, which I’ve been at since ’97. I also have an AA in Business Administration from Santa Ana College and have attended the University of Colorado, Boulder and Cal State Fullerton. I have about a year to go to obtain my B.A. in Business Administration from Cal State. I’ve also passed various insurance courses. Basically, my job is nice because I get to be on the computer all day, plus I have my own office, so it’s quiet, and when things are slow, I can do some playing. : )

On a personal level, I’m single, but am involved with Kip, who I met online of all places, who I’m absolutely crazy about.

FAV LAG SONG: Well, I’d have to say it’s a four-way tie among Revolution, Rip ‘N Tear, I Found You, and It’s Over Now.

FAV LAG ALBUM: I’ll have to go with Cocked and Loaded, though Waking The Dead is pretty close behind.

FAV LAG VIDEO: I’ll go with “Some Lie For Love,” since it shows the band out on tour. “I Wanna Be Your Man” is awfully nice to look at as well.

FAV LAG MEMORY/SHOW: As for shows, there was the ’91 KNAC Fifth Anniversary Concert with Ozzy Osbourne headlining and L.A. Guns, Lynch Mob, and Alice In Chains opening up. We partied in the parking lot of the Long Beach Arena, met some cute guys, and saw a killer show from the seventh row. L.A. Guns was by far the best act of the evening performance wise, and I was seated on Kelly’s side, providing a very nice view. : )

Another memory would involve people from this board whom I met last year up at the Rainbow Bar ‘N Grill: Dianne (hollywoodteez) and Jason, Kristin (glamgoddess) and Rikki, and Alan (sexaction). Although I found out I can’t hold my liquor like I used to (LOL), it was great meeting these guys and partying with them.

OTHER INTERESTS: I really do like photography, though I haven’t been able to pursue that as much lately. San Francisco and the beach are particular favorite places to take pictures. I also love to travel and would love to hit every major city in the world. New York and San Francisco are favorites. I’m becoming more interested in food and wine and preparing food, particularly gourmet food. I’m also doing some writing for a friend’s website, at www.ddays-revenge.com. And, of course, music and movies.

OTHER FAV BANDS: I’ve been a huge Beatles and Stones fan for what seems to be forever, plus I love Def Leppard (brings back some great memories from high school). I also really like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, UFO, and April Wine.

LAST WORDS: I have to say thanks for having me be Fan of the Month for November (the month of my birthday). I do consider it a great honor and feel I’m joining a fine group of people who have received this honor in the past. I’ve enjoyed getting to know people on the board, definitely the best board on the ‘Net, and hope to see more of you in the future at a show or just out partying. And thanks to L.A. Guns for still being around and making terrific music. I may be turning 40, but listening to this band always makes me feel like I’m in my 20s, out having a great time with all my friends and listening to some great music. Let’s just say this band’s music was the soundtrack for my move from Colorado to California, and I couldn’t ask for a better soundtrack for something that momentous.
