Welcome to FAN OF THE MONTH!

Our Fan of the Month for May is one of the younger L.A. Guns fans (yes, there's hope for the future) and definitely devoted to all things music and fun! ;-) Wow, reading her replies made me feel old and boring, her life sounds like one of those kid's adventure books I so used to love. ;-) I'm sure you all know her from the board - now you're going to get to know her a little better: Congrats Sis!!!!

What is your Screen Name?
Philz_Rocksta_Vixen
I've said it before and I'll say it again. People are reading it differently than I intended. ha ha

And your real name, please?
Oh boy, my real name.. Sissy-Jo Palmantier *no middle name* Thats what's written on the birth certificate. Although I think almost everyone's forgotten. Now I mostly hear "Philly Rocksta" It just started as a joke. You know how a lot of people change their name when they get into music? Well, someone already changed it for me. No one calls me by the name I was born with anymore but thats ok. Even "Hey You" works just fine for me.

Where are you from?
A nice little nook called Williams Lake BC. I pretty much grew up on the road though. Pops use to travel the rodeo circuit so it was a different town/state/province every week. Once he retired we settled down where he was born in Riske Creek BC.

Please tell us a little about yourself (Job, hobbies, etc.):
I spend a great amount of time on the ranch in Riske Creek. We raise horses as rodeo stock (saddle bronc and bareback aka bucking broncos for the newbies ha ha) So yeah, my job is one of my passions. Taking daily drives around the countryside checking on the ponies, hauling them around British Columbia and Alberta for BCRA, PRCA and a few other local rodeos. Mom started up her own company a few years back too. She's one of the few RTFs in the area so there's always quite the workload. Whenever she's running behind I drop what Im doing and help her out. I took a couple shots at college but it never worked out. Thats probably because the only things that can keep my attention for more than 10 seconds is music and rodeo. This is gonna be my last rodeo season due to moving to the BIG city. I'm much to stubborn to give up on music.

How/when and why did you get into L.A. Guns?
Oh geez years ago, I was just a wee little brat. My cousin had this huge box full of cassettes. I got to digging around in it one day and came across LA GUNS. I though Hmmm... the name sounds pretty cool. I asked if I could have it and ever since that first listen I've been hooked. It was "Hollywood Vampires" Im pretty sure it was 96. Wow, 11 years!

What is your favourite song/album?
"Tales From The Strip" is not only my favorite LA GUNS album but my favorite album of all time. Very well put together and also based on a time and place that I can only dream of (as of now but we'll see if we can change all that). As for my favorite song, I had to think about it long and hard. I've narrowed it down to two, "Gypsy Soul" and "It Don't Mean Nothing" I find everything on the album great both lyrically and musically but these two
just seem to stick out from the rest.

Now share your favourite L.A. Guns story/memory, please:

Unfortunately I dont have any stories involving the actual band (as of yet) but I look forward to many memories to come. Once I'm happily moved to Los Angeles, I vow to NEVER miss a show. Wait a sec... There was one incident where I snuck Phil into a private message forum to surprise a few people (hehe) He left a post and everyone thought it was just me fooling around. It was hilarious but I'm glad it got cleared up.

What other bands do you like?
Motley Crue, Poison, Brides of Destruction, Faster Pussycat (I'm really excited about the new lineup), Ozzy, Girl, White Lion, Roxx Gang, Warrant with Jani Lane, Skid Row, Def Leppard, Zeppelin, New York Dolls, Nazareth, Rod Stewart, Archies, Sweet.... There's also a lot of up and coming bands. I like the sound and they definately have the attitude and the drive. A few of these bands would include Scarlet Rose, Vains of Jenna, Starlet Suicide, Vanity Blvd... I'm pretty anxious to see what London LeGrand does with his new band Rockstars on Mars. And I'm really curious about where Scot Coogan is going now, I really liked his singing.

Any famous last words?
See ya in the big time ;)

Also, thank you. Phil for everything you've ever done, you've really been an inspiration. Steve for being the kick ass drummer in the greatest band in the world. Stacey, Canucks rule! haha... Adam for being a part of LA Guns in their greatest years yet, best of luck to you. Scotty! haha thanks for not running away after we put together quite a big list for you :D And last but certainly not least everyone at the forum. I am very grateful for the friends I've made. Thanks for making my time here very enjoyable thus far. It really is like a family.
