Screenname: Stephanie
Who you
are:
Good question! ;-) My full name is Stephanie Meusel, I'm 35 and into black
clothes, colourful make-up, paganism, literature, well-read and eloquent
people, big cars, interesting discussions and lots more. I've
been an L.A. Guns fan ever since 1988 - saw the "One More Reason"
video and I was hooked. The rest is history, as they say.
Where
you're from:
I'm from Rheinberg. That's a little town in the west of Germany, pretty
close to the Dutch border. Nearest bigger cities some of you might have
heard about are Cologne and Düsseldorf. Rheinberg is famous - well,
sort of - for being the hometown of Claudia Schiffer and "Underberg",
a kind of herbal liquor (Schnapps)...tastes awful!!!!!
About
you: (jobs, hobbies, etc.):
I work for a small shipping company, nothing fancy, mind you. *LOL* What
we do is, we ship bulk cargo (like scrap, stones, sand, coal, etc.) to
and from basically all European countries on all accessible inland waterways.
My job is...everything, really: I charter the barges for our customers'
cargoes, I deal with insurance claims and with complaining customers/shippers.
I am responsible for all the correspondence, issue all travelling documents,
customs stuff, do the invoicing. It's far less interesting than it may
sound, but I guess it's not as bad as I sometimes make it sound. ;-) Hobbies...well,
I go jogging at least 3 times a week (if someone had told me that
about 3 years ago, I probably would have died laughing), I love our pets
(5 guinea pigs, 2 rabbits, 2 budgies and currently 4 dwarf hamsters),
I try to spend as much time reading as I can...I love books!!! I love
movies, too - and music, obviously. I wouldn't know what to do without
music - and dancing! Going to concerts isn't all bad, either.

Fav
LAG album:
You know how much
I hate questions like that, don't you??!! It's almost impossible for me
to answer that, but I'll try my best: it's a tie between "Vicious
Circle" and "Waking the Dead", although it does depend
on my mood...
Fav
LAG song:
AARRGGH...see above!!! It so depends on my mood, but...o.k...."Electric
Gypsy", I love that one live! And "Long Time Dead" I know
that's more than one...can't help it, sorry! ;-)
Fav LAG personal
story:
Hmmm, again I find it hard to pick ONE. Silke and I have been to quite
a few shows over the last couple of years and always had a good time.
Whenever we were lucky enough to meet the band and their crew, everyone
was very friendly and sweet. Not to mention that we've met so many cool
people from the message board. I guess the one thing that does stand out
a bit is Silke's and my trip to New York last year, because it was our
first ever trip to the States....and what we did was stay for 3 days to
see 3 L.A. Guns' shows - some people may think that's pretty crazy, but
despite all the chaos surrounding that trip, it was so much fun (thanks
again to Cherie and Flynn for "babysitting" us *LOL*) and I
hope I can do it all again very soon!
Top
three fav bands other than LAG:
Here we go again! How on earth am I supposed to limit myself to just 3?????
I guess what I'll do is name those bands/musicians that have been
most important for me and have influenced me...starting with the one that
has been the most important one for many years now: New Model Army! Others
are The Cure, The Alarm and
Andy Prieboy (with and without Wall of Voodoo); this guy has to be one
of the most incredible songwriters ever and one thing I really feel I
HAVE to do is see his musical "White Thrash Wins Lotto".
I hope I'll get this chance! I know, that's FOUR, but I really can't
leave out any of these, I swear!
Any
last words:
That would probably be a good opportunity to name all the favourite albums,
songs and bands I didn't get to mention earlier! ;-) But, unless you want
this to become some sort of "Gone with the Wind - Volume 3",
I'd better stop and just thank you for picking me as Fan of the Month
- that's really cool! And, as you all know...the message board and all
you guys on there rock...please keep it that way! ;-) |
