You real Name?
Kayla

Where are you from?
Born in CA near San Francisco , and then moved to England when I was a child because my dad was in the Air Force. We settled in NC where my family is from. I love it here, but I have always wanted to live in L.A (or Florida )! I am definitely a Sun & Fun kind of girl!

What do you do for a living?
I am an Executive Assistant at Bank of America in Events & Marketing.

Please tell us a little about yourself?
I will start with the most important - I am a mother of two wonderful children - Emily (14) and Will (8 this month). My life is meaningful because of them! In 2002 I was devastated to learn that my son was diagnosed with a horrible disease called Fanconi Anemia (very similar to leukemia, only no cure) and I spend a lot of my time volunteering with organizations that dedicate their time and money to curing childhood cancer and other terminal diseases such as his. His website is www.willpowerfund.org if you would like to know more.

Tammy and Kayla

I believe in God and miracles and I believe in friendship. Being an only child I depend on my friends to be more like family. My best friend is Tammy and we have been together for 20 years! We have seen each other through marriages, divorces, the birth of our children and the ups and downs of life. Back in the day, Tammy and I used to hit every LAG show we possibly could! We spent a week in L.A back in '91, and had planned on staying there permanently. If it weren't for my mother being diagnosed with Cancer, I am sure we would have moved there! I am definitely a L.A. Woman at heart! I guess life has a way of directing you where you need to be.

How did you get into L.A. Guns?
I will never forget my friend coming to my house back in the late 80's with this video she just had to show me. It was LAG. She popped it in the VCR and I heard this incredibly sexy voice yell "SAVE ME BABY" - that was it - I have been hooked ever since! It wasn't long after that I got to see them for the first time on Chapel Hill, NC . They opened for Def Leppard (I think). I was hooked! Before I knew it was making friends with their publicist and buying Phil a tattoo! They actually video taped that on Hard & Heavy!

Your favorite song/album?
If I HAD to choose I would have to pick Cocked and Loaded. Not only was it the music, but the memories that go along with them. Those were some wonderful times! Honestly though, I LOVE Tales and I LOVE this line up!

Tell us your favourite L.A. Guns story/memory?
There are so many wonderful memories that involve LAG I wouldn't know where to start! I have seen them about 20 times, and had the pleasure of hanging out with them at most of those shows back in the late 80's early 90's. I will never forget that first time I met Phil - he was such a gentleman, so kind and gracious. I had quit my job and roadtripped to PA with some friends to see Dangerous Toys, Tora Tora and LA Guns. I had given Phil some roses with a note attached written on Betty Boop paper. (I knew he liked Betty Boop and so did I) After the show we were all hanging out and he came up to me and said Thank You Luv, and kissed my hand. I just melted! We talked for a few minutes and then he left, but I will never forget that feeling that I had at that very moment. I knew LA Guns would always have a special place in my heart.

Elmo and Kayla

Funny thing is though - I had no idea at the time just how important LAG would eventually become. When I rekindled my LAG flame it led me to this wonderful board. I joined almost one year ago. I had no idea at the time I would meet so many wonderful people! Some of them are as close as family! Who would have thought I would meet a friend who not only was from my home town, but also knew so many of the same people I knew. Whose parents lived in my old neighborhood, and whose family would invite me to spend my Thanksgiving Holiday with! Thanks to this board I found one of my dearest friends - Elmo!

This has been a very difficult year for me, and I must say I don't know how I would have survived without the love, support and friendship on this board. It is so much more than a "Fan Club", it's a "Family"!

What other bands do you like?
I like all kinds of music. Aerosmith, Kid Rock, Bon Jovi, 80's Glam, Motley Crue, Country! Depending on my mood, you will find me listening to anything from Tim McGraw to Andrea Bocelli! But my heart will always belong to LA Guns!

Any famous last words?
Life is too short to spend any moments of regret! Enjoy it, Live it, Love it!
