Welcome to FAN OF THE MONTH!

Finding our Fan of the Month for June put us under a lot of pressure - our April FOTM's real name had turned out to be April and our May FOTM's middle name is actually May - and while it is true that both were mere coincidences we felt it would be nice to follow that "tradition" just a little longer. Luckily we remembered that we DO have someone on the board we knew would fit in just fine. Of course we did not only pick her because of her name - we also picked her because she is a devoted fan of L.A. Guns. Last October she even travelled all the way from L.A. to England to see the  band play!!! (o.k., maybe the fact that she was going to see her husband
there had something to do with it, too. ;-) ) Congratulations to Rice Cake, our Fan of the Month for June

Please tell us a little about yourself (hobbies, etc.)
I love music! That's the main reason why I came to America. I love shopping! I like finding something which nobody has. I prefer going to flea market than Chanel store. I love animals! We have 1 cat (Tora), 1 cockatiel (Pudding) and 2 love birds (Midori & Hamachi).

How did you get into L.A. Guns?
When I was a teenager, my girlfriend made me a copy of their first album on CASSETTE!

Your favourite L.A. Guns song/album?
I loved 1st and 2nd when they came out. But ever since I got involved with the making of the cover album, I enjoy listening to it. Also  my recent favorite is the latest one "Tales From The Strip". Because it's all about being in Hollywood. I was there when Phil came up with each idea of lyrics and melodies. But the interesting fact is he wrote "It Don't Mean Nothing" when he was in my grandma's room in Japan. He wrote the whole  thing so quickly. When I got out of shower, the song was done! There were no interuptions, sirens, car alarms or phone calls like in Hollywood.

Please share your favourite L.A. Guns story/memory
The last UK tour in 2005, I was thrilled to be in London, where Phil grew up and spent half of his life in, to meet all his friends whom he was always talking to me about, to go to many places where he was playing at when he was a kid. LA Guns had a cool submarine-looking, double decker tour bus. I loved waking up in the different cities every morning. Our names were Ken and Kendra in the bus. I miss Tudor-Jones!! I met lots of nice people from the message board. That was the most fun tour ever!

Ireland - 2005
