Welcome to FAN OF THE MONTH!

Our Fan of the Month for June is none other than our very own L.A. Guns' Street Team Leader... (and my best friend in the whole world) Teresa!!!!!  Now I just want everyone to know that no special treatment was given to Teresa even though she's my best friend. She originally wanted to submit more than 20 pictures for this FOTM page and I managed to cut her down to only 14. LOL

And now a few words (or a novel rather) from our Fan of the Month:

Teresa in her natural state... er, I mean on Halloween.

I am very honored to be picked as the Fan of the Month for June. Here's the scoop on me.

Screen Name:     Before I became the LAG Street Team Leader it was Lv2rokk but since then I've just been using Team Leader. Original, eh?

Real Name:         Teresa Burke

Where You Hail From:     I currently live in Gurnee, IL, a suburb of Chicago and 10 minutes from Sixx Flags. (Yes, I LOVE roller coasters!) I was born and raised around this area and just never had the desire to leave.

What do you do for a living?
I am a Catalog Merchandising Analyst for GBC. This July, I will have been with the company for 14 years. I've come to realize I will probably die there. Ball and chain on my ankle and all! haha just kidding. I work for a worldwide company that sells anything from binding and laminating machines and supplies to shredders, dry erase boards, easels, AV carts, etc, etc, and etc. In my division of the company, our products are sold through catalogs. It is my job, along with input from others in the company, to "analyze" the catalogs from year to year, make updates, changes, etc and prepare everything for our Sales Managers to present to our customers. The busy "pull your hair out" months are September through May so right now we are starting to wind down a bit. Whew. It's a good thing too because I can really use the break!

All About Me:
I have been married for just over 11 years now and have a son, Jacob, who is 10. We also have TWO cats (no thanks to Cherie-haha-just kidding) that we love to death named Wakko and Daisy.

My biggest hobby involves, can you guess? Music! My license plate on my car even says MUZK FRK! I've been to over 200 shows now in my life and my last CD count was at 1,000. (A little insane even if I do say so myself.) What can I say though? I am addicted to music. I guess there are worse things in life, right?

Aside from all the MANY items in my music collection (I have a room dedicated to my music obsession. Can you say no more wall space for anything?),I collect Gargoyles, Pocket Dragons and Faery's. My favorite author is Stephen King and I love Vampire movies. My favorite holiday is Christmas with Halloween coming in at a VERY close second. I have been sky diving twice and I love to watch Extreme Sports, X-Games, etc.

When did you first get into LAG? What's your favorite LAG song?
Humm, this is a tough one. As the years go by it's harder for me to remember these kinds of things. I'd have to say the first LAG song I ever heard was The Ballad of Jayne and to this day, it is still my fave LAG song. By the time 1991 rolled around and Hollywood Vampires came out, I was full swing into LA Guns! I swear I must have played that tape a million and one times.

What is your fave LAG album?
Wow, another tough question. I'm going to have to go with their first four albums!! haha Oh and the Cuts album too. I just LOVE when bands play covers!

Your Favorite Piece of LAG Memorabilia You Own:

I have been to quite a few LAG shows and because of that I have TONS of live photos. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love to take pictures. I also treasure the few signed band photos and CDs I have. Oh, I almost forgot, back in 2001 Cherie, Flynn and I road tripped to Detroit and then to Ohio the next day.

From that second show I have a drumhead that is signed in a very original way. From what I remember Tracii and Muddy played Tic Tac Toe, Tracii drew the face instead of signing his name and he also wrote the phrase "Evil like the Frooitz of the Devil". Phil, Steve and Muddy all signed their names. Road trips are the BEST! I highly recommend them to everyone!

And last but not least…the one thing that to this day still makes me smile big…seeing my name in the Thank You's of the German Release of Waking the Dead. Thanks again to Jan (Python) for sending me the CD! You rock in the biggest way man!!

What is your best LAG memory?
Do I have to pick one? Well let's see, I have seen LA Guns a total of 17 times so I guess there should be at least one BEST memory. (side note: I just had to count the number of times and HOLY COW BATMAN, I am shocked! I had no clue it had been that many times! WOW!!! Ok, back to your regularly scheduled FOTM.)

My very first LAG show was on May 5, 1998 at a club formerly known as Jackhammer's in Schaumburg, IL. (See Cherie's comments about the same show). Even though it wasn't the original line up, they came out and rocked the place!! Did you know that even way back then people were yelling out "Tracii Guns is Satan"! Before 1998 I wasn't the big time concert go-er that I am today. Oh boy, what a year that would come to be. Also, LA Guns were the 2nd band I had EVER met in my life! Hanging out with them that night was the best! So I guess maybe the first time was the best time!

Or wait, Cherie commented on the time in Lansing, IL. I will too! (Her and I have a lot of the same memories you know! heehee) It was a lot of fun driving Phil and Tracii out to dinner and then to the mall. Of course Phil called shotgun. It was a little bit weird for me to be driving with Phil sitting in the seat next to me and Tracii in the back with Cherie and Flynn!

Taken from Cherie's FOTM Memories: "And at a Chinese buffet place, one of the little signs at the buffet table was misspelled and I think Phil snagged it... and I'm pretty sure Teresa ended up with it." See proof below. haha Also, before the show Phil asked me to run back to the mall for him to buy some computer game controller or something. What was I going to say, no? haha

Oh and at the show 4 days later I MET KELLY NICKELS!!! : ) hehehe (Umm, he's my 2nd fave * wink wink * )

Oh, here was a memorable night. LAG played the Hard Rock Café in Chicago for their Man in the Moon release. (The first album with Phil back in the band.) They played every FREAKIN song on the new album along with some "gems". It was an AWESOME night! Afterwards I got so caught up with hanging out that I forgot about my car being valet parked in the lot. It was after midnight when I realized it and there was a private party going on in the venue and no one would come to the locked doors even though we were banging on them. Finally, LAG's Tour Manager got a hold of someone inside the venue and they returned my keys to me. I thought for sure my car was going to be stuck there all night.

Another time at a Detroit show, Tracii played some recorded demos from the yet unreleased album "Waking the Dead". What a treat it was because they sounded incredible.

Who is your favorite member?
No offense to anyone else in the band (past or present) but without a doubt, hands down, it's Tracii Guns. The guitar is my absolute favorite instrument and well, he's pretty damn good at it. Not to mention, he is one of THE nicest people I have had the pleasure to meet. Hell, all the LAG band members have always been very cool.

How do you feel about being the Street Team Leader?
To be honest, I really like it. Granted it is a hell of a lot of work, but seeing the dedication of so many fans makes me feel proud to be a part of such a huge LAG family. I have met some of you over the years and everyone has been great
