Welcome to FAN OF THE MONTH!

Our Fan of the Month for July joined this board almost a year ago and has been an active part of our board family ever since. She studies stuff most of us only know from watching TV, works full time, has a family to take care of -  and still finds the time to drive quite a few miles to see her favourite band. Congrats to Emily, our FOTM for July!

Screen Name?
csi girl

And what is your real name?
Emily

Where are you from?
Elk River, MN

Please tell us a little about yourself (Job, hobbies, etc.):
Well I currently work full time. I am a Certified Pharmacy Technician. I work for a large Health Insurance company. I go to school in the evenings for my Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. I have the world's best husband because he is my rock, he is so supportive. I have three children ages 16, 10, & 6. My 10 year old was from an ex-boyfriend and I was not ready, so I placed him for adoption. I still get many photos and he has a terrific life and family.  I love to go to spend time with my family.  I love concerts, gardening, I am currently learning to sew, photography, anything true crime, and love to just hang out.  I have had a tough life and have learned many lessons.  My life is an open book and I hide nothing.  I would love to be able to influence one child that is going the wrong way into going the right way.  Life is what you make of it.  I learned 3 years ago when my grandma passed away to cherish those around you.  You never know what tomorrow will hold.  Always end a conversation with I love you, unless you don't.

How/when and why did you get into L.A. Guns?
Like I said above, I have had a tough life. I was a teenage runaway and I heard Ballad of Jayne. I was in love at that moment. Then I heard Sex Action and it was all over. I could not get enough. When I saw the video of Ballad of Jayne, I saw Phil singing and as a teenager I was in love. The music fits for almost every event that a person could go through. I still cannot get enough.

What is your favourite song/album?
That is really tough to say. I love Ballad of Jayne, but I love when the weather is nice to roll down the windows in my 2005 Mustang and crank as loud as I can Sex Action and Rips The Covers Off. It is just a great cd.

Share your favorite L.A. Guns story/memory, please:
Well I was never able to see them until January of 2007. All I could say was WOW! Then they cam back and I had to go. I have been to almost every show that they have done in MN in 2007/2008. I missed one which was way up north. Just getting to meet the guys and to have them know who I am really reflects that Phil, Steve, Stacey, and Scotty really appreciate and like the fans. When I went to see them in Wisconsin this past Mother's Day was the best. Phil and Stacey came in and Phil gave me a hug and thanked us (Cherie, Flynn, Willie (my husband) and I) for driving so far to see them. No kidding we drove about 300 miles both ways to see them. Totally worth it. I have to many memories.

What other music/bands do you like?
I like all kinds. I love John Lennon, Queen, The Eagles, Steve Miller, ELVIS, Faster Pussycat, Megadeath, Metallica, G-N-R, Bang Tango, Ratt, REM. I like Opera, country, classical, everything.

What is /are your favorite book(s)?
I like anything by Stephen King, John Grisham. I like the Ann Rice Novels

And which is/are your favorite movie(s)?
Sorry I love anything with Johnny Depp. I like thrillers, murderous type, love stories & most movies with Jim Carrey. I really have a guilty pleasure of Disney Movies.

Any famous last words?
Stay Young, Rock Hard and always be true
