Welcome to FAN OF THE MONTH!

As some of you may remember, our first candidate for Fan of the Month for June 2007 couldn't send his replies back to us because of his severe health issues. Well, luckily he's doing much better now and is back on the board whenever his time allows it. He's been on the board for quite a while and I'm sure most of you know him - it was our pleasure to send him the questions again and proudly announce our Fan of the Month for July: Chris (Hardrockmetalgod) - CONGRATS  to you! :)

Screen Name?
Hardrockmetalgod

And what is your real name?
Chris

Where are you from?
San Antonio, Texas

Please tell us a little about yourself (Job, hobbies, etc.):
Well my name is Chris. I'm 27 years old, single hispanic male, born & raise in San Antonio, Texas.  I have short dark brown hair, brown eyes, mustache, goatee & 7 tattoos. I was born with a very rare bone disabilty called Osteogenesis Imperfecta (A Brittle Bone Disease) in which it has my bones weak to the point that I'm unable to walk or stand on my own.

I enjoy goin' out to sports bars & having a few drinks with friends. I love listenin' to rock music & goin' to concerts. I also love hangin' out at Starbucks readin' a good book or just enjoyin the day with a good coffee. Kickin' back with someone nice & watchin' a movie or just gettin' to know them is also things I like. I guess you can say that I enjoy a little bit of everythin'.

How/when and why did you get into L.A. Guns?
I have to say when the Cocked & Loaded album came out, but I think it was more when I saw The Ballad Of Jayne video. I just couldn't get enough of that song, so I got the tape & just played it until the damn tape busted on me, by that time cd's came out & I replaced it with the cd :)

Now share your favourite L.A. Guns story/memory, please:
Well the same goes for the album & song, I have a few fond great memories of meetin' & hangin' out with them.

The very first time that I got to see them live back in April '01 when they did a small promo tour in support of Man In The Moon. They played at the Hard Rock Cafe & I was in front row for this one, they just kicked ass. Anyway, after the show they had a Meet & Greet with the fans. Well when it was my turn to meet the band Phil was so into wantin' to talk & get to know all about me & asked all kinds of questions about my life & all. He was really into the fact that I had the guts to be right in front with all the rowdy people. That was a great night.

The summer of '02 The Metal Edge Rock Fest. I got there a little early just to be able to beat the crowd. While I was there just waitin' for the doors to open I see Tracii come out of the bus & came right up to me. He said that he saw me from the bus window & remembered who I was. He gave me a really cool rare Waking The Dead pass. It wasn't a backstage pass but it looked like it though, he said that a good friend of his made a few for him to give out to close friends or whatever, it's cool & so far I haven't seen it anywhere else I have it hangin' in my room. So we talked for about 30 minutes or so about everythin' you can think about, he even told me about that he had just sent Nikki Sixx an e-mail & that he might do some stuff with him. After a while he went back into the bus & later on I got to hang out with Phil again.

I want to say that it was the summer of '05. But anyway, I got to hang out & talk with Phil durin' another Meet & Greet. But after the whole concert was over I was waitin' for my ride & here comes Adam. Me & Adam are pretty cool, he's real good friends with my good friend Bones who happens to be from Texas & plays drums in Nikki Sixx's new video Life Is Beautiful, pretty cool song I might add. We talked about everythin' you can think about, workin' with C.C. Deville, places he's lived at, workin' on Tales From The Strip, where he likes hangin' out when he's in San Antonio & a whole lot of stuff. He was just cool & easy to get along with, I'm gonna miss that guy bein' in the band. No tellin' when or if I'll get to hang out with him again.

What other bands do you like?
AC/DC, Aerosmith, Alice In Chain, Angel, Bad Company, Black Sabbath, Bon Jovi, Broken Teeth, Buckcherry, Cheap Trick, Cinderella, Alice Cooper, The Cult, Dangerous Toys, Deep Purple, Def Leppard, Dio, Dokken, Eagles, Echoes Of Eternity, Eden Burning, 3-Faced, Faster Pussycat, Filthy Lucure, Fleetwood Mac, Foreigner, Lita Ford, Fuel, Girl, Great White, Guns N Roses, Heart, Hole, Iron Maiden, Journey, Judas Priest, Julien - K, Killer Dwarfs, Avril Lavigine, Legs Diamond, Loudness, Courtney Love, Lynyard Skynyrd, Lynch Mob, Metallica, Motley Crue, Motorhead, Moxy, Naked Beggars, Stevie Nicks, Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Petty, Pitbull Daycare, Poison, Psycho Plague, Queensryche, Quiet Riot, Rainbow, Ratt, Rebel Girl, Riot, Roktopuss, Rolling Stones, The Runaways, Rush, Saxon, Scorpions, Skid Row, Structure, Starz, Stone Temple Pilots, Tesla, Triumph, UFO, Union Underground, Van Halen, Velvet Revolver, Vixen, Warrant, Wasp, White Lion, Whitesnake.
