Welcome to FAN OF THE MONTH!

Where are you from?
I'm from a small city about 45 minutes to an hour northwest of Albany, NY.  I come from the same area that gave the world celebrities like Kirk Douglas and Rachael Ray (they both come from towns near where I am from.)

Please tell us a little about yourself (Job, hobbies, etc.):
I am basically a freelance theatrical costumer, which means I work for a lot of community theatres doing costuming work. Thanks to my part time job, I have time to work on my costuming stuff.  My hobbies include historical re-enacting, reading, playing video games, gardening, and shopping.  I also like to watch hockey (specifically the Boston Bruins)

How/when and why did you get into L.A. Guns?
Okay.. this is a long story (sorta).. I used to watch a lot of MTV back in the late 80s-early 90s, but I had never seen very many L.A. Guns videos.  In 1991 (I was 11), I saw the video for "Kiss My Love Goodbye", and I was hooked.  My cousin had bought the Hollywood Vampires album, and I basically borrowed it for a long time.. Fast forward to 2004, and my last semester of college.  I used to get the feed for Pirate Radio in L.A. through my Winamp, and I was listening to it one day, and I heard the song "Never Enough", which I had never heard before. Shortly thereafter, I had been chatting with someone I knew, who was familiar with LAG's work.  He told me to go buy "Cocked and Loaded." I did (got the last copy the store had), and was instantly re-hooked.  I met a person named Becca on Live Journal, and she introduced me to the board.  And I haven't left since 2005.

What is your favourite song/album?
Electric Gypsy/Hollywood Vampires

Now share your favourite L.A. Guns story/memory, please:
I have a couple.. in no particular order:

1.) The first show I had gone to.  It was in Bedford, NH at a sports bar/strip club called Mark's Showplace. I had driven about 4 hours from upstate NY to see this show.  Well, the show was awesome, and I got to meet the band afterward.  Now, I had never met anybody from any band that I had ever listened to, and I was a bit nervous.  The band was awesome, and when I mentioned to Steve Riley that I had driven close to 4 hours from upstate NY to see them, he was like "wow."  It was well worth the trip, and the trips have only become better!

2.) The Jersey Crew!!  Dingbatz.. Feb 2006.. The board meetup..giving Phil a vintage copy of Alice in Wonderland (I think it was a 1925 edition, and I think he liked it, a lot.).. crashing in Elmo's hotel room with Harry from the opening band (I think their name was Voodoo Terror Tribe), and telling stories first thing in the AM.. that was awesome.

3.) March 27, 2007..getting to meet Kathleen (GypsyGirl).. giving Steve a nice little gift bag (I really hope he liked it.).. Cracker Barrel the next morning with Kathleen and Jen.. and 1 hour photo in a downpour (It rained the whole time they were there).

What other bands do you like?
Motley Crue, Led Zeppelin, Ratt, Roxx Gang, WASP, The Beatles, The Doors, Gene Krupa, Pearl Jam, Femme Fatale, Vixen, Girl, Lita Ford
