Welcome to FAN OF THE MONTH!

FAN OF THE MONTH for August 2005... Is it Phil Lewis... or is it Brent Muscat.. .. or is it a long lost member of Pretty Boy Floyd... No, It's... SAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats SAM!

Your Name: Samuel North is the name I was given. I am him.

Where You're From: A town called Melton Mowbray, famous for great English things such as foxhunting, pork pies and stilton cheese. Here in Melton we have a museum with a two headed calf. That is a good a reason as any to visit Melton Mowbray, alternatively go to www.melton.co.uk for more information than you would ever want to know about my home town.

A Little About You (jobs, hobbies etc): I am self employed and work as a ultra sound cattle pregnancy scanner, see picture. Its a swell job, gets me out and about. Lots of driving so I get countless hours of undisturbed music listening time. I also am a whore to the UK's greatest highstreet retailer which is Wilkinsons. That is actually a abysmal job compared to scanning, but I get to listen to my MD player so I shouldn't grumble.

As far as hobbies go I like to collect and listen to L.A. Guns bootleg cd's. I figure I have ousted Trevor and now have the largest collection in the entire world. Sad but true. So apart from that and of course listening to music I am quite partial to a little skateboarding. I've dogged my ankles and wrists over the years so I tend to just roll around and do my own thing rather than try too hard. That almost certainly leads to me hurting myself. I skate on my own until Iget bored, which is normally after 10 minutes then go home.

I'm rather partial to watching films. Mainly those that Johnny Depp has been in, Leonardo Di Caprio in second place. What a 13 year old girl's choice of actors. The film Once Upon a Time in the West is probably my all time favourite movie, beautifully filmed. The direction is first class and the soundtrack is just outstanding. I like going to the cinema, usually alone.

I also like playing guitar abiet badly but I'm still learning. And I'm teaching myself so give me props for that. Pipedreaming my band is a good hobby - .:TinselTown:. which will probably never happen but one can always hope.

I think that about sums it up, aside from sitting in front of my computer for a stupid amount of hours each day. I guess you could call that a hobby or pasttime.

Your Favorite LAG Song: Probably Never Enough/Looking Over My Shoulder as number 1 with Never Enough taking the biscuit. All my fav songs normally change routinely, and have probably gone through about every song as my favourite song at some point.

Your Favorite LAG Album: I don't think its possible to pick just one album. I could pick three though.

1: Self-titled

2: Waking the Dead

3: Paul Black's The Black List

I have just contradicted myself by placing them in a numerical order. So therefor my favourite album must be the first one.

Your Favorite LAG Gig: Out of the 5 shows I went to, London was probably the best performance and atmosphere, but meh. Phil let me film the Dudley show and gave me his necklace so that gets points. Hull was my first L.A. Guns show and Phil spoke about my shirt so that gets points. Then Bradford, Phil spoke directly to me about the necklace so that gets points.

So all in all I will go with Crewe, where I had to leave half way through the show, walk back to the hotel alone and getting lost in the process and miss Stacey getting his cake and going on the BUS. I guess that must be my favourite show.

Out of the 90 or so bootlegs I have I'll also include some of those in this gig list, a hand full of choice shows. All of them are special in one way or another. I would go into detail but I doubt anyone is interested, so I'll just list the dates and provide some usless information.

Nov 3rd 1986

Oct 11th 1989

March 27th 1992

Oct 22nd 1993 (or is it 1994? whatever)

Nov 6th 1999

July 24th 2002

That'll do me thinks.

How Many Gigs Have You Seen and Where: Hanoi Rocks was the first hard rock gig I saw, it was at Rock City in Nottingham right after 12 shots came out. Then the L.A. Guns November tour. Adlers Appetite in wherever we went in Italy with Pat, Tommii and Sinead. Adlers in Dudley. Pretty Boy Floyd twice, then the doomed Faster Pussycat tour, only saw their show in Nottingham and Dudley. The Vain tour and last but not least Seb Bach in Dudley with azzagunner.

Backyard Babies coming up, or by the time this gets posted.

If You Could Be a Member of LAG,.. Who Would it Be? I have little if any desire to be a member of L.A. Guns, but under the context of the question i will go with being Paul Black or Kelly Nickels circa 1991 because he blatently looked the coolest. I even have my hair style modeled on him. Granted it doesn't actually look right but what can you expect when complete retards cut your hair.

Other Favorite Bands: I tend to go through phases of listening to bands. L.A Guns is about the only band that I have consistently listened to for the last year or so. Everything else comes and goes then comes back again at some stage or another. I guess in one way or another everything I listen to is related to L.A. Guns in some way or another via certain members, some of those bands are (obv) GIRL, Torme, well let's basically say everything Phil has ever done. Burning Tree, Joey C Jones and the Glory Hounds, Tracii's stuff. The Joneses. Paul Black's Sonic Boom, Big Bang Babies, Faster Pussycat ect ect. I think pretty much everything any current or EX member has done I like. L.A. Guns may be a revolving door of musicians and singers but they've all made some 'dem fine records.

Some bands I like that are not L.A. Guns related are Tigertailz (Young and Crazy over Bezerk any day) Star Star, Backyard Babies, Hanoi Rocks, Soho Roses, Crashdiet, T Rex. Rock City Angels plus probably a load more which I will regret not listing. I probably like more bands that have EX L.A. Guns members in than not I think. But basically this and that, a little bit of everything. I find a new band about everyday and there is still heaps more to find.

Any Last Words.. I am the coolest geek in the country.
